Smoke On The Water

Hello people of the internet!

Amongst the slew of illustration and poster mania that was January, I also found time to finish off a few pieces of fine art work, all quite different in their execution but all with a similar tone. There will be more new work coming soon but for now have a peek and see what you can see see see:

'Gerharder' - pencil crayon on graph paper

'Deep Blue (Purple)' - paddling pool, mister, branch, paint, tinsel, wire and wishbone

'Rushed' - pipe cleaners, oasis and mirrored card

Ok, that's all for now

Work from idle hands

Hello my virtual friends,

I trust all is well in cyber-firma. Things in the real world have been busy and jam packed of late and there should be a few new updates with new prints, exhibitions, jaunts and sundries coming soon but for now i thought i would share a few new pieces from the studio.

Above is a selection of definitely finished and potentially finished new work that has survived the ever stringent culling, re-working and reshuffling that is my working process. A few of these pieces should hopefully be cropping up in upcoming shows over the next few months so i will post about those as and when they take shape, but for now goodbye and goodlooks

best, Luke

QOTSA - Feel Good Print of the Summer

Hello all,

Just a quick blog post to mainly say that my Queens of the Stone Age poster is now available in my Online Capitalism Booth aka Dr. Drozd's Emporium of Paper Picture Sheets aka The Shop. There are precious few of these available from me so if you want one don't dilly-dally or dawdle before these doodles dwindle:

They are 3 colour screenprints, 63 x 45cm on good heavy stock and hand-printed by the wonderful Mark Pavey whom saved these at the eleventh hour from not being printed at all. Internet high-fives for Mark everyone. Ok, that's enough...

While you're here i'll also allow your peepers to gaze across a sample tee print i did a while back for the wholesome and wonderful folk at Monster Press. They now exist in the real world and not just inside my brain. If only that were true of the rest of the stuff in here. Here it is:

Keep your eyes on the prize!

February, i shall smite you!

Where did January go? I remember it threatening to rear its ugly grey head but then it was gone, leaving its even more depressing and slovenly sibling February behind to keep us company. But I will not let February beat me for many riches lie ahead.

First I am very pleased to say I will be off to Austin, TX for SXSW again this year, thanks to the generous support of UKTI and help from the ever-wonderful folks at British Underground. I'll be taking over a bunch of other UK poster types but more about that next week, including information about the rather splendid magazine we will be giving away out there called Flood.

Second, I've just about been managing to find the time to make some new work. So here for your eyes are a few new pieces from the studio, some of which will hopefully make it into some shows in the near future. Enjoy...or don't...up to you really:
